Bio

Dr. Alexandra D’Agostini is a board-eligible pediatric orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty interest in neuromuscular disorders, such as cerebral palsy, trauma, fractures, and adolescent sports injuries. She earned her medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C., graduating in the top 10% of her class after receiving her undergraduate degree from George Washington University with a major in biology and a minor in art history. During her time at GW Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr. D’Agostini helped to run the Orthopedic Surgery Interest group and was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.  

After medical school, Dr. D’Agostini completed an Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago followed by a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. 

Dr. D’Agostini’s academic appointments include IPOS Scholarship Recipient from Shriner’s Hospital for Children, Alpha Omega Alpha Inductee, Kane King Dodek Honor Society member (top 10% performance OBGYN) at GW School of Medicine, Gill Summer Research Fellowship Award Winner from Children’s National Medical Center, Golden Key International Honor Society member at George Washington University, Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Scholarship recipient and Student Organizer at The Healing Clinic at George Washington University.

She served as Resident Organizer for Silver Service Children’s Foundation, fundraising for a week-long pediatric orthopedic mission trip to Buga, Colombia; helped to fundraise for a mission trip to Cusco, Peru; and volunteered at Las Delicias de Villa Community Medical Center in Lima, Peru where she performed well-child visits for 25-30 children per day and administered routine childhood immunizations, as well as conducted annual well-women examination and prenatal visits.

She is a member of Ruth Jackson Orthopedic Society, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and American Medical Association.
