Bio

David Y. Lin, MD is a board certified pediatric orthopedic surgeon with subspecialty interest in pediatric and adolescent trauma, arthroscopic treatment of sports injuries, and limb deformities, including clubfeet.

He earned his medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, where he also completed his surgical internship. Upon successful completion of his orthopedic surgical training at Saint Vincent/Catholic Medical Center in New York City, he spent an additional year training younger orthopedic surgeons as chief resident.

Dr. Lin received advanced training in a pediatric orthopedic fellowship at the internationally renowned Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN, where he gained vital training and experience in pediatric trauma care and pediatric sports medicine.

He returned back home to New Jersey in 2002 to join Dr. Mark Rieger at our main campus in Cedar Knolls, NJ. He has been a senior physician partner with the group since 2004 and is proud to be providing care with great staff and partners at The Pediatric Orthopedic Center in the Cedar Knolls and Wayne campuses.

Dr. Lin has specialized expertise in repairing broken bones, managing overuse injuries, treating meniscal injuries, repairing labral tears and reconstructing ACL tears in children and adolescents. He enjoys combining and utilizing his electrical engineering background from Cornell University to optimize and advance musculoskeletal care, healing and recovery.

As a fellow of the AAOS and an active member of the POSNA, he is a strong advocate for orthopedic education and continues to teach physicians, residents, trainers, physical therapists and students throughout the region.

In his free time, he loves spending time with his wife and two children and enjoys tennis, cooking, skiing, smoking and grilling meat and traveling.
