Scoliosis Surgery

The Pediatric Orthopedic Center Cedar Knolls location is one of the leading practices for scoliosis surgery in the tri-state area.

EOS Imaging System and On-Site Bracing

We are the only pediatric orthopedic practice and scoliosis center in northern New Jersey to offer low-dose EOS X-ray imaging, which uses 10 times less radiation than traditional X-rays.

We also offer on-site bracing when needed, so patients don’t need to travel elsewhere for a Rigo Cheneau brace.

FIREFLY® Technology: Personalized Surgical Planning

Our scoliosis surgical approach includes the use of FIREFLY technology, to create personalized surgical planning. This patient-specific technology utilizes a patient’s CT scan to create a tailored surgical plan, anatomically matched 3D printed drill guides, and an anatomically exact bone model of the patient’s spine. This comprehensive approach enables the surgeon to place screws faster and more accurately, making it the ideal technology for successful scoliosis surgery.

Rapid Recovery Pathway

We also utilize the Rapid Recovery Pathway system, allowing for 95% of our patients to be walking the next day, sent home within 36 hours of surgery, and completely off narcotics.
