Our Scoliosis Methodology
The Pediatric Orthopedic Center adopts a conservative treatment philosophy, prioritizing nonoperative scoliosis treatments unless proven ineffective or if surgery is the best option. This approach has resulted in a 96% success rate in treating patients non-surgically, allowing most to avoid surgery altogether.
FIREFLY® Technology: Personalized Surgical Planning
Our center uses FIREFLY® Technology from Mighty Oak Medical for scoliosis surgeries. This patient-specific technology employs CT scans to create tailored surgical plans, 3D-printed drill guides, and exact bone models of patients' spines, facilitating faster and more accurate screw placements during surgery.
Rapid Recovery Pathway
For those requiring surgery, the Rapid Recovery Pathway system ensures that 95% of scoliosis patients walk the next day, go home within 36 hours, and are completely off narcotics. This system exemplifies the center's commitment to efficient and effective recovery.
EOS Imaging System
